Qld: Juvenile offender laws queried =2
Queensland Attorney-General Rod Welford said the new laws would be introduced to parliamentby mid-year.
Mr Welford said the delay between the draft laws being approved by cabinet and goingto parliament had been due to broad consultation and the complex nature of the laws.
He said comments had been received from judges and the general community, and thesewould be taken into account in the bill to go before parliament this year.
