You can't get into Cafe Allegro on an Albany Symphony concert night. An offshoot of Albany's bravissimo Cafe Cappriccio is strategically set smack across the street from Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Call it two minutes door to door, if there's a lot of traffic and you're walking backward.
Reservations book right up by Wednesday - I know this because I eavesdropped on a conversation at the next table.
Mr. Eats being a spontaneous kind of guy, we rarely find ourselves at popular places that need advance notice. On those occasions I go hungry.
